About the Tokyo: a DVD series [coming soon]

These original videos are snippets of life captured in and around Tokyo, Japan. Following in the tradition of the Lumiere Brothers , who shot actualites, filmed records of daily life, throughout Japan over 100 years ago, the short video documents focus on the ordinary, the eccentric and the poetic.

All videos were shot on a Canon S45, a handheld digital camera that creates impressionistic visions in 320x240 pixels at 15fps.

There are 10 volumes in "About the Tokyo: a DVD series." Each volume contains approximately 10 short videos on a specific theme (see below). Volume 1: Hairaito (Highlights) is a sampler of the entire DVD series and includes videos from most of the other volumes.

Vol. 1: Hairaito (Highlights)
Vol. 2: Shigoto (Job)
Vol. 3: Michi (Street)
